What would nature have to say if they were at my work placements?
For Renee it would be an obvious answer of overwhelming positivity. They are actively working towards a better future for our planet but in a creative manner for creatives. I think think the only other thing that Nature would have to comment is to get more companies involved and let more people find out about this great resource.
For my other placement at South London Gallery, I think there would more want for a bigger message for Natures inclusivity when making exhibitions, there is already a beautiful garden space which allows public to access. SLG’s programs for children in the Art Block have sessions thinking about the environment and what it means to have those conversations from a young age. Making the next generation for conscious of Nature is a great way to start. More events centred around it would help engage and educate wider audiences and the community around SLG.
This is a great exercise to think more about how industries and companies manage these green initiative. However I am fortunate enough to be working for great placement providers who are consciously thinking about ways to help the environment thrive with a long term mindset.
